Statement
In my time as a trustee, we faced contentious issues; however, they all were resolved with civility. I endorse the statement of John Mathias and am committed to collegiality and persuasion rather than lawsuits as the most effective way to voice alumni concerns. Amid a difficult economic climate, we all must stand together in support of our new president to maintain Dartmouth as the finest undergraduate experience anywhere.
In the last two years, we have opened a constructive dialogue with the trustees regarding the addition of more elected trustees. We have laid the foundation and have the credibility and determination to accomplish that goal this year.
