Otho is a partner at EKO Asset Management Partners in New York. EKO is a specialized investment and advisory firm focused on discovering and monetizing unrealized or unrecognized environmental assets. At Dartmouth, Otho was a member of the varsity track and field team, Phi Delta Alpha, and Fire and Skoal. He was senior class president and the Barrett Cup recipient for all-around achievement. Following graduation, he attended Harvard Law School and began as a litigator at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett. Otho has served as President of the Alumni Council, Chairman of the Board of the Tucker Foundation, and chairman of the Dartmouth College Fund Committee Participation Task Force. Statement
I support the statement of John Mathias, who has reiterated our Unity Slate’s commitment to civility, collegiality, and constructive interaction with the trustees, administration, and entire Dartmouth alumni/ae community. I oppose litigation against the College because I do not believe it is a constructive approach for change.  It is divisive and costly.  Properly governing the College requires balance. The president and trustees must balance the interests of the students, faculty, staff and alumni/ae, and the association must understand that a proper balance means that the alumni/ae body should have a say in the governance of the College, but not sole say.
