Biography
Mark is COO of Vertex Distribution in Attleboro, MA. He holds an AB in engineering sciences and an MBA from Duke University. Prior to Vertex he was a vice president of strategic planning at L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin. Mark is also board president of the Dedham Country Day School. Mark has served his class as head agent and reunion giving chair. He is a member of the Tucker Foundation Board of Visitors and Dartmouth College Fund Committee. He has been vice chair of the Dartmouth College Fund and a member of the Will to Excel Campaign Committee. He was a member of Bones Gate. Mark was awarded the Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award in 1994 and the Alumni Award in 2010. His father is Mel Alperin '58 and his uncle is Barry Alperin '62.

Statement
Dartmouth students experience an academic program that continues to develop, thanks to a superb faculty, top rate facilities, and an administration that is forward looking in a changing world. I support the trustees of Dartmouth and President Kim in their efforts to give every student an education that is considered among the best in the world in order to allow them to pursue their life's work. I also applaud their belief that a high level arts program and athletic program are integral parts of a complete education. I look forward to serving the Dartmouth community for another year.
